Welcome to the 1002 Yeast Genome Project

The 1002 Yeast Genomes Project first began in 2013, with the goal to better understand the population structure and diversity within Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Since the first set of genomes were sequenced in July of 2013, we have obtained a data set which currently is comprised of a total of 1011 genomes. Below is a brief timeline, which provides an overview of the progress of the data acquisition.
